I ordered a custom hand checkered fancy band call in December 2006 after seeing Taylor Talkers advertised in Wildfowl Magazine. I was a little reluctant when Troy said it would replace whatever was hanging on my lanyard at the time, but this call FLAT OUT ROCKS!!!!

Great hail that rings rock solid on 2 notes. The bottom end is outstanding. It doesn't sound like a call; it sounds exactly like a hen mallard. Mid range transition is smooth without any missing "steps" or gaps. Requires very little air and will not stick. Can get loud but steps down to a soft call that is incredibly easy to blow. It truly is a call that sounds every bit as good as it looks.

This call is without a doubt THE BEST CALL in my collection. A lot of people wouldn't hunt a $350 call, but I can assure you this one will not sit idly on the mantle. This call was born to kill ducks. To say I'm impressed with Taylor Talkers is an understatement.

The best part of the whole experience was the customer service. Troy took a lot of time making sure what I wanted and made exactly that. I was one of his biggest skeptics initially, but now am now one of his biggest proponents. My hat is off to Troy Taylor.

Thank you.

I have hunted for 40 years along the Mississippi Flyway, primarily in Tennessee and Arkansas. I have had access to the finest duck calls produced in the south. If I listed the brand names of the duck calls I have bought and been given, it would almost resemble a history of the evolution of the duck call. The most effective call I had found was made by an elderly gentleman in a shop behind his house in Clarendon, Ark. Some of you will know who I'm talking about. Then one day a friend urged me to try a call made by Troy Taylor. I wanted no part of it. There was no way a call made in the northwest could match even an average call made in the heart of duck country, the Mississippi Flyway. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Troy Taylor's calls have the necessary volume for hail calls, the low-end range for working ducks close, and a crisp, clear realistic sound that gets a duck's attention over other calls. Live and learn is the moral of that story.

I attended the Duck calling seminar at Moore-N- Moore shooting range in San Fernando, Ca on Sept. 10th. Amazing class! I learned so much and, more importantly, broke some bad habits w/ my calling. The seminar was very “Hand’s on” and it seemed as if were outside calling as mush as we were inside learning & taking notes. Troy has this whole deal down to a science. I was especially impresses w/ learning how to break down the call and tone/tweak it myself. Also I wanted to thank Andy C. for all the help as well. You two know your calling and are great teachers! I would recommend this seminar to everyone from seasoned duck hunting vets to folks who are thinking of getting into it. I now have no need for the shoe box full of overpriced calls that are sub-standard. This single reed call is all I need for the ducks.

Thanks again Troy & Andy.

2 years later and it looks just as good as the first day I got it. I love it!!!! I can go from loud to soft without the call locking up or me missing a beat. The thing still sounds great!

Troy Taylor makes the best calls I have ever used, seen, or even heard of in the 18 years I have been hunting, and Ive tried just about every call there is. It's funny what everyone always says when they first hear your calls, "BEST **** CALL I'VE EVER HEARD!!!!" It still cracks me up, I can count on getting that remark every time, from hunters and guides that have been doing it forever down to the young hunters. Thanks for making a call that actually lives up to everything, 100% pure duck. P.S. Dont even get me started on the Goose calls!
